Job Description - Solution (Sales) Engineer

(Sales) Solution Engineer, Europe to join our team based in Amsterdam or Munich.

We have a simple, but powerful, mission: to help our clients visualize, synchronize, and optimize their end-to end supply chain operations and enable them to make optimized decisions that improve their productivity and profitability.


 


(Sales) Solution Engineer 


 


An integral part of the sales team helping to convey the technical aspects of the ICRON products and services, clearly and compellingly, to potential customers.


Driving the pre-sales process by bridging the gap between technical specifications and customer benefits to help define the future in terms of systems and processes.


The ideal candidate will have a flair for technical subjects but also, an ability to analyze, and communicate at multiple levels within the supply chain eco-system.


 


Responsibilities:


 



  • Serve as a technical advisor for customers throughout their journey with ICRON, including design, implementation, and operation.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their business goals, and provide guidance and support to help them succeed.

  • Draft and respond to requests (RFxs) with technical insights and domain expertise.

  • Demonstrate solution value to customers through product demonstrations, business case creation, and proof of concepts.

  • Monitor and report on sales engagements, make recommendations and contribute to improvements of tools and processes.


 


 Requirements:


 



  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role focussed on supply chain ideally involving the design, implementation, and management of Advanced Planning and Scheduling Systems (APS).

  • Native proficiency in German and English is necessary.

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes, data modelling (UML), optimisation techniques, BI, and systems integration.

  • Industry focus: Knowledge of industry domains, software technology, and market trends to work with the ICRON product teams to drive additional value into software solutions through suggested enhancements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate relationships with prospects, partners, and internal teams.

  • Strong project management skills to drive solution design and delivery of customer value-enhancing activities such as demos and PoC from concept to execution.

  • Experience in developing sales-oriented solution documentation such as RFx and statements of work

  • Training and Coaching Experience: Ability to train clients, partners, and team members on supply chain solutions. Provide coaching to partners to educate them about the ICRON solutions and implementation best practices.

  • Self-motivation: Capable of working autonomously or seeking advice from experts when necessary to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Bachelor's degree in operational research, software development, or a related field; engineering + MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
