Job Description - Solutions Engineer - Presales (m/f/x)

Your role at Eye

  • You will partner with AEs to understand customer needs, shape deal strategy, and share responsibility for outcomes.

  • You will lead discovery, presentations, and demos, tailoring messaging while positioning a standardized offering.

  • You will assess technical fit early, identifying risks and challenging weak opportunities.

  • You will provide an independent view on deal health and closing probability during forecasts.

  • You will advise customers on their security landscape with clear, practical recommendations.

  • You will handle RFP/RFI responses aligned with customer needs and internal capabilities.

  • You will act as the main technical contact, resolving most queries and involving SOC or engineering when needed.

Who You Are

  • You have 2+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant, or similar role in cybersecurity, MSSP or a related technology environment.

  • You bring experience with complex B2B sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and longer deal timelines.

  • You have strong technical acumen to assess feasibility, engage technical stakeholders, and understand customer requirements.

  • You are fluent in English and Dutch and can communicate confidently with both technical audiences and C-level executives.

  • You can translate complex technical topics into clear, business-focused messaging.

  • You have strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills and adapt quickly in customer discussions.

  • You hold relevant technical certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM), as a plus.
