Job Description - Structuring & Advisory - WB Models V

Structuring & Advisory WB Models (GJA 19)
We are looking for a Structuring and Advisory WB Models Expert, who will act as FO representative for the implementation of Large Corporate and FI Credit Risk Models.

You will be Business Model Owner for the Large Corporate Model and drive the implementation of new Credit Risk Model for the LC&FI business portfolios. You can drive optimization initiatives for improving RWAs and profitability. You help WB in realizing an RWA light, high profitability business model. You will anticipate on unforeseen events and regulatory changes and identifies structural improvements. Together with the team you will orchestrate the development and implementation of the respective Credit Risk Models, while safeguarding the wider WB strategy. You will anticipate complex issues across the model life cycle including resolution of internal and ECB Findings and deliver according to regulatory timelines and business requirements.

The team
You will be part of the WB Capital and Models team, whereby the LC&FI team is, from a business perspective, responsible for the redevelopment of credit risk models for Large Corporates and Financial Institutions. The Business Model Ownership and it’s orchestration and delivery will be executed in close cooperation with FO, COO Risk, Integrated Risk and Model Validation.
 

Roles and responsibilities

  • WB Rating System Owner for the respective models for the delivery and implementation of the WB Credit Risk, IFRS-9 and Pricing / Economic Capital models in close cooperation with FO, COO Risk, Integrated Risk and Model Validation.
  • Play a key role during ECB model on-sites, including follow-up and delivery of the respective findings.
  • Refine and translate new business, policy or regulatory requirements into deliverables and roadmaps for the respective models.
  • Align with senior stakeholders across entire end-to-end value chain and across business lines to take the optimal credit model redevelopment decisions for the Bank.
  • Able to perform business analysis activities, orchestrate E2E testing activities and with your deep knowledge of the underlying processes and systems you will advise on process improvements in the Model Life Cycle process.
  • Design smart solutions and align with the appropriate delivery organizations for the respective models and its implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, streamline processes and volume based on analyses of the product portfolio and the model use.
  • Build a network within the FO organization to ensure that E2E process improvements regarding our default, scoping and pricing processes can be quickly adopted and embedded within the FO.

We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge and experience:

  • Extensive experience in working with Credit Risk models and/or capital related processes
  • Deep Understanding and knowledge of credit risk model methodology and key concepts (e.g., PD, EAD, LGD)
  • Proven track record of successful projects and/or implementations of business requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and organizational sensitivity to act within complex stakeholder environments across business lines and across end-to-end value chain.
  • Strategic business perspective, good knowledge and understanding of WB processes (Front Office and Transactional Risk experience).
  • Excellent communicator – ability to take knowledge from experts, make complex simple and convey the message in a convincing way to stakeholders with diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and good with data.
