Rocycle is the European market leader in social fitness. We operate successful cycling and reformer pilates studios in Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Cologne, Utrecht, Brussels and soon Munich. We are growing rapidly and with Groningen City as our first studio in Groningen, we are looking for a Studio Manager who plays a critical role in defining the success of our business.
As a Studio Manager you will take full ownership of the studio. You are the inspiration and leader of the team and act like a spider in a web, ensuring Rocycle’s operations are run smoothly and without any hiccups. You will be responsible for efficient scheduling, supporting the operational team when and where needed, empowering the studio team to be at their best and providing excellent service and a true Rocycle experience to all our customers. The building, services and facilities have no secrets to this person. You are a jack-of-all-trades who thinks in solutions. You will manage a team of 10-15 studio assistants and 10-15 instructors.
What does your workday look like?
Manage overall operations including customer service, maintenance, cleaning, logistics, staffing and performance
Uphold company standards of excellence and service, guaranteeing quality performance at all times
Actively lead by example during shifts and being present at the studio
Being the face of the studio and form relationships with riders and help grow Rocycle’s community
Decide on team capacity needs and recruitment strategy by effective forecasting and planning - this also includes hiring and letting go of studio staff
Manage studio partner- and supplier relationships
Manage expenses for the studio and follow up on incoming leads, this includes scheduling for private rides and deals
Make the schedule for your team
Furthermore:
Collaborate with Marketing for the operational execution of events at the locations
Organize and implement quarterly training programs for staff
Mentoring interns at the studio
Ensure that the studio is compliant with safety and health regulations, at all times.
Customer service and team improvements based on (e)NPS results
A strong interest in operations, sport or lifestyle brands and passionate about hospitality and people
A natural leader, that cares for the team with a proven experience in managing a team at least 2 years
Operational experience at least 2 years
Experience in part time staff recruitment and training is preferable
Knowledge of maintenance and repair issues and knowledge of booking and planning systems and operational procedures
Attention to detail, strong organizational and planning skills
A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch & English
Flexible within studio opening hours
Able to start your new role in March 2025.
