Job Description - Team Leader Operational Purchasing

This is how you make impact

 As Team Leader Operational Purchasing, you lead the operational purchasing team and ensure that daily purchasing processes are executed in a stable, efficient, and future-proof manner. You are able to strike the right balance between operational management and structural improvement.

You actively involve the team in the upcoming changes, document processes and ways of working, and embed these within the organization through training and coaching of your team members. The team consists of approximately 10–12 operational buyers in Son, supplemented by a temporary team of 3 FTE in Slovakia.

We also ask for:

  • A completed bachelor’s degree (HBO level);

  • Experience with operational purchasing and logistics processes;

  • Experience in a coordinating or managerial role within Supply Chain, Operational Purchasing, or similar;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • Flexibility in leadership style and approach;

  • The ability to guide and lead change;

  • Decisiveness, always in connection with your environment;

  • Stress resilience;

  • Preferably fluent in both Dutch and English.

Job requirements

Your daily responsibilities include

 

  • Leading, coaching, and developing the operational purchasing team;

  • Proactively ensuring compliance with agreed procedures and ways of working, while continuously improving and optimizing operational purchasing processes;

  • Balancing operational activities with change initiatives;

  • Improving efficiency and workload distribution within the team;

  • Monitoring and directing effective collaboration with internal and external customers;

  • Being responsible for accurate information regarding material availability and performance data related to suppliers and the Supply Chain.
