As a Technical Legal Advisor, you act as the bridge between law and technology. You advise on environmental legislation for technical installations, ensuring compliance and helping obtain and maintain the Licence to Operate (LTO) for assets.
Advise on environmental laws and regulations (air, safety, noise, hazardous substances, soil, water, waste) for existing and new assets
Support operational teams and project managers on legal and technical matters related to (Seveso) installations
Obtain and maintain environmental permits (Omgevingsvergunning)
Translate complex environmental regulations into practical, workable solutions for engineers and business teams
Work closely with technical teams, bridging the gap between legal frameworks and engineering reality
Contribute to risk-based policy development and strategic decision-making
Strong expertise in environmental law (Omgevingswet) and administrative law
Knowledge of technical assets, installations, and business processes
Excellent advisory and communication skills – able to convince both internal and external stakeholders
Pragmatic, solution-driven, and business-oriented mindset
Experience with permits, enforcement, and compliance
WO (university) working and thinking level
Willingness to travel within the Netherlands
Knowledge of Seveso legislation
Experience with FIDIC, EPC, or UAV contracts
Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or offshore sector
