Job Description - Vendor Alliances Director - Benelux

Job overview

As the BeNeLux Vendor Alliances Director, you are responsible for leading strategic partnerships with key technology vendors across the Sub Region. Your role is pivotal in driving joint business outcomes, enhancing partner engagement, and aligning vendor strategies with the company’s growth objectives. You serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendor partners, ensuring mutual value creation and long-term collaboration. You are also a change agent, driving transformation and fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability across the organisation.

The Head of Vendor Alliances BeNelux will work closely with the BeLux Country Manager and Netherlands Country Manager to resource and grow the Vendor Alliance community and drive growth in all countries. 

Accountabilities and activities

  • Strategic Alliance Management: Develop and execute comprehensive alliance strategies with top-tier vendors to drive revenue growth, innovation, and market differentiation.
  • Partner Engagement: Foster strong executive-level relationships with vendor partners, ensuring alignment on joint goals, investment priorities, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Business Planning: Lead annual and quarterly business reviews with vendors, setting performance targets, tracking KPIs, and identifying opportunities for expansion.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of vendor programs and initiatives.
  • Inspirational Leadership: Lead from the front by setting a clear vision, motivating cross-functional teams, and cultivating a high-performance culture that drives accountability, innovation, and results.
  • Team Empowerment: Mentor and inspire internal teams and stakeholders, championing collaboration, professional growth, and a shared sense of purpose.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, vendor roadmaps, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions and maintain a leading edge.
  • Contract & Commercial Oversight: Negotiate commercial terms, manage vendor funding programs, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Drive Strategic Vendor Growth: Lead initiatives to accelerate revenue growth across strategic vendor portfolios, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
  • Maximize Margins: Identify and execute margin-enhancing strategies through commercial optimisation, vendor funding, and high-value service adoption.
  • Service Adoption Leadership: Champion the internal adoption of existing high-margin services, working closely with sales and operations to embed them into core offerings.
  • Innovation with Technical Leadership: Collaborate with technical leaders to co-develop and launch new services that align with vendor capabilities and customer demand, ensuring commercial viability and scalability
  • Forecasting across Vendor Alliances to assist the countries and region with accuracy.

KPI’s

  • Drive revenue growth in strategic vendors.
  • Maximise margins across vendor portfolios.
  • Increase adoption of existing high-margin services within the business.
  • Collaborate with technical, Marketing and Sales leadership to develop current services and launch new ones.
  • Expanding our portfolio via New Vendor Signings or reducing the competitive landscape.
  • Being respected and influential in aligned countries to drive positive change.

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven experience in vendor management, alliances, or partner strategy within the technology sector in the BeNelux for 5 plus years.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering measurable business impact.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Familiarity with major Cyber technology vendors.
  • Experience with channel ecosystems and partner-led growth models.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
