The work

As a Visualization & Interaction Science Analyst, you will be part of the Strategy & Consulting team in Amsterdam. You will work directly with clients in the Netherlands and sometimes abroad to help them become more data driven, advising from both a business and technology perspective.

You will operate at the intersection of data, business, and design. Your focus is on designing dashboards and interactive reports that turn data into clear insights people can understand and use. Increasingly, this also includes shaping AI-enabled and conversational analytics, exploring how people interact with insights in new, intuitive, and trusted ways.

This is a junior / entry-level role, suitable for recent graduates or candidates at the start of their career who are eager to grow into a modern analytics consultant with strong visualization, interaction, and design capabilities.

People:

• Work closely with consultants, data professionals, and client stakeholders to understand business questions, decision contexts, and user needs
• Translate complex data and analysis into clear dashboards and interactive reports
• Communicate insights in a structured and user-friendly way, helping stakeholders understand what the data is telling them

Processes:

• Apply data visualization and dashboard design best practices to continuously improve how insights are presented and consumed
• Learn and apply human-centered design and design thinking principles in analytics projects
• Participate in and gradually facilitate workshops to gather requirements, validate insights, and co-create dashboards with clients
• Explore how AI-enabled and conversational analytics can support insight discovery and decision-making, with attention to usability, trust, and human judgment
• Stay up to date with emerging trends in data visualization, analytics, and AI-driven insight delivery

Technology and Data:

• Design and build dashboards and interactive reports using BI and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
• Create role-based dashboards with a strong focus on clarity, usability, and business relevance
• Design and build pilots and proofs of concept, including dashboards that incorporate emerging AI-assisted and conversational analytics features

Here’s what you’ll need

• A Master’s degree (or near completion) in areas such as Information Management, Business Analytics, Econometrics, Data Science/Analytics
• Hands-on exposure to data analysis and data visualization, gained through university projects, internships, or thesis work
• Interest in dashboard design, data visualization, and storytelling with data
• Basic understanding of data foundations, such as relational database concepts, data structures, and data transformation principles
• Willingness to learn and work with BI and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI) to design and build dashboards and pilots
• Curiosity about human-centered design, UX/UI principles, and interaction design
• Curiosity about how AI-assisted and conversational analytics are changing the way people interact with data
• Creative, analytical, and eager to learn in a fast-changing environment
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
