Warehouse Driver

Job Summary: 

This position will work in the warehouse maintaining it, completing orders, repackaging product and also driving work trucks to cover for vacations and emergency orders.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performing a variety of duties 
• Load, transport, and unload each shipment in an efficient manner 
• Repackaging of product into different pack sizes 
• Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and accurate inventory stock 
• Assisting drivers to pick their loads 
• Completing appropriate documentation in an accurate and timely manner 
• Communicate with drivers, office staff, and sales 
• Performing routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and report needed repairs to supervisor 
• Performing all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards 
• Reading and filling out monthly safety meeting requirements 
• Cover deliveries when drivers are on vacation or for emergency deliveries 
• Must be able to pass a random drug and alcohol test per DOT guidelines 
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor 

Required Skills / Abilities: 

• Must possess a valid State Driver’s License with Class B CDL with HAZMAT Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsements 
• One (1) year relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job 
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability of the job 
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving 
• Ability to safely drive various vehicles 
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public 
• Ability to work independently 
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions 
• Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization 
• Minimum 21 years of age 
• Must pass pre-employment DOT Physical and Drug Screen 
• Must be able to sit/drive for short or long periods of time and work on their feet in the warehouse 
• Must be able to lift 50IBS repetitively 
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays 
• Reliable time management 
• Forklift driving experience 
• A strong work ethic with a commitment to succeed 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

• None
