Landing Gear, part of GKN Fokker Aerospace, is a recognized specialist in landing gear and related systems. We focus on the design and development, production and assembly of complete landing gears, as well as the repair and reassembly of systems already in use. In doing so, we work on the most famous aircraft and helicopters; think of the Apache combat helicopter, the F-35 Lightning II (JSF), the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and the multipurpose NH90 maritime combat helicopter.

Functie

Your mission:

The purpose of this position is to lead a team of Site Supply Chain professionals and deliver operational performance using standard supply chain management business processes and strategy. The scope includes Planning & Scheduling, Logistics and associated performance figures (Delivery, SA, Logistics costs, DIO, etc.). The Site Supply Chain Manager is also responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of site supply chain management standard processes. As a member of the site’s leadership team, the Site Supply Chain Manager is the “conductor” for planning and logistics, ensuring compliance with management processes and coordination with the rest of the site.

Further description of tasks:

•Designing a corporate culture in line with the norms and values of GKN Aerospace as “A Great Place to Work”

•Provide a safe working environment for Supply Chain Management & Logistics employees;

•Lead the Supply Chain Management team with a focus on goals, performance, talent management and organizational planning;

•Execution of the global Supply Chain Management strategy;

•Management and improvement of planning processes (SIOP, MPS) within the site;

•Coordination of Operations Supply Review (SIOP) and connections between program teams and site team;

•Optimization of inventory strategy and performance (DIO);

•Implementation of GKN standards and continuous improvements;

•Monitoring and analysis of Supply Chain Management metrics;

•Management of logistics activities and associated costs, including freight, warehousing and internal movements;

•Responsibility for total costs of Supply Chain Management function, including workforce and budgets.

•You have a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field;

•At least 7-8 years of experience as a SCM manager within a manufacturing organization, preferably in the metal industry, you have built a solid background in effectively managing supply chain processes and driving operational performance;

•You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English, and preferably also in Dutch. If you do not yet master the Dutch language, you are willing to learn it at short notice to ensure effective communication within the team;

•As a team player, you are willing to work closely with others and are flexible in accepting additional responsibilities to achieve the goals of the team and the organization.
