Business Economics | Data Science internship: inventory insights

Introduction

ASML’s Capital Efficiency inventory team manages worldwide business insights and control for invested and working capital. We create transparency, support decision-making with data driven analyses and drive improvements in inventory performance. We do this with a team of highly professional and motivated people based in Veldhoven and Wilton.

Your assignment

As a Business Analyst intern, you will contribute to optimizing inventory performance within our Capital Efficiency team by supporting both operational reporting and improvement initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Produce recurring inventory reports with high accuracy and timely delivery

• Conduct ad-hoc data analyses to support decision-making

• Identify improvement opportunities in inventory processes and reporting flows

• Support ongoing projects aimed at optimizing inventory performance

• Translate data insights into clear recommendations for stakeholders

• Contribute to the development of dashboards or visualizations for performance tracking

• Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment on inventory priorities.

The start date of this internship is as of March/April. This is a hybrid working environment internship.

Your profile

To be a match for this internship, you:

• Are a 3rd year Bachelor / Master student, at university level in the field of Business Economics/Finance or Date Science

• Have an outstanding academic record and have proven affinity with topics that are related to business analytics, data analyses and or business intelligence.

• Are motivated to work in a high tech company and have a keen interest to develop your practical skills in a challenging and dynamic business environment.

• Have strong analytical and communication skills, are capable of working independently with high accuracy and able to handle a high level of responsibility.

• Have strong English skills, both verbally and in writing.

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

• Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
