Data Science (Responsible AI) Internship

Your team

You will directly work with Aaron who is SkillLab’s Data science Lead. Furthermore, you will cooperate with our data scientists Rihab, Anna, Nadine, and Divabelle.

Your responsibilities

• Workflow Integration: Integrate responsible AI templates into existing model development pipelines, including potentially creating automated checks and validation steps. You'll also develop integration guides for the data science team.
• Process Automation: Build automated model card generation from existing templates.
• Documentation & Training: Update existing documentation with integration procedures, create training materials for the data science team, and develop troubleshooting guides for common integration issues.
• Testing & Validation: Test integrated workflows with existing models and conduct pilot implementations with select models.

Your skills

• Study background in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, or related field with focus on responsible AI.
• Familiarity with Python, Git, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with model deployment and monitoring (ML/AI).
• Experience with API development and system integration.
• Strong interest in making responsible AI practices practical and scalable

Extra awesome

• Previous experience with responsible AI frameworks or MLOps/AI governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with model deployment.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions or similar).
  

• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands. We don’t support visa applications for applicants outside the EU.
• You are currently enrolled as a student or graduated within the last 12 months.
• You are able to commit to a six-month full-time (40 hour/week) internship.

Compensation, start-date & location

• This is a paid internship. The monthly reimbursement will be 1.000 EUR.
• You can do the internship by living in another city in the Netherlands and commuting to the office 1-2 days per week. SkillLab covers your train commuting expenses to Amsterdam.
• We accept applications on rolling basis and we envision a start date in September 2025.

 Our selection procedure

1. You apply for the role and we review your profile.
2. We will invite you for a short screening call.
3. We will invite you for a 60min interview if we find that you are a good fit. The interview will involve you preparing a short assignment.
4. We will offer you the internship and discuss logistics, if we think that you are the ideal candidate for the role.
