We’re looking for a talented and motivated Digital Marketing Intern to join our international, mission-driven team for a 6-month internship. About Imagine5

We are a growing nonprofit media platform with teams in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and San Francisco. Our mission? To inspire sustainable change by telling stories that matter—stories that show what’s possible when people, planet and purpose come first.

As our Digital Marketing Intern, you’ll be based in our beautiful new office on the canals in central Amsterdam, working closely with our Amsterdam and Copenhagen teams. You’ll report directly to our Growth Marketing Manager (who’s eager to help you grow) and collaborate with an open, creative, and international crew.

What you’ll be working on

Main objectives currently are growing our audiences and exploring new or more effective ways in doing so. You’ll get hands-on experience across a wide range of digital marketing channels, tools and strategies. Key areas include:

SEO & SEA → main focus 

• Optimising our website’s SEO structure and improving technical SEO aspects.


• Spotting SEO opportunities and developing keyword strategies.


• Updating and improving existing content for better search visibility.


• Supporting and improving search ad campaigns (Google Ads; demand gen, YouTube etc), testing reach and performance.


• Researching opportunities to build Imagine5 as an authority with backlink research and growing links to our pages.
  

Social Media Marketing → main focus

• Creating and managing campaigns.


• Helping to test new channels and content formats.


• Running A/B tests and exploring new audiences.


• Automating recurring processes for efficiency.

Newsletter & Email Marketing

• Boosting sign-ups for our growing newsletter.


• Increasing engagement and click-through rates through testing and optimization.

UX / UI / CRO

• Supporting the optimisation of the user journey on our website.


• Helping to improve conversion rates on donation and magazine pages.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a student who’s curious, proactive, and passionate about using their skills for good.

• You are passionate about sustainability and motivated to make a positive impact through your work.


• Enrolled in an HBO or university (WO) program in Marketing, Communication, Media, or a related field.


• Fluent in English (written and spoken).


• Digitally savvy: you easily pick up new tools and systems.


• A keen interest in digital growth (hacking) strategies, SEO, and user behaviour.


• Pre: You love to experiment, test, analyse—and you’re not afraid to get nerdy with data.


• Be able to be in the office at least from Monday to Wednesday.
