Events & Internal Communication Intern

JOB PURPOSE

Are you eager to gain hands-on experience across both Event Management and Internal Communications? We're looking for an ambitious, proactive intern with strong project management, communication, and event coordination skills to join our team.

As an Internal Communication and Events intern, you will be part of the marketing team of one of the fastest-growing digital agencies in the world. We’re focused on representing the DEPT® globally, whether it’s to potential clients, industry stakeholders, or our own employees. And we need your support for that.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will support two team leads in a 50-50 split: the Internal Communications team and the DEPT® Events team.

• Support the planning and logistics for internal global events, including coordinating speakers, decks, and internal stakeholders;


• Assist in the delivery of DEPT® events. From vendor coordination and on-site setup to guest registration and post-event wrap-ups;


• Work across internal initiatives, including employee engagement projects, company updates, and research tasks (both internal and external), while managing your time effectively across multiple priorities and stakeholders;


• Strategically draft, schedule, and manage internal communications on a global and regional level;


• Help with Event communication efforts, inbox management, landing page creation, and reconciling event budgets when making event related purchases;


• Sometimes working outside of regular 9-5, when internal event management support is needed;

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 Have an affinity with project management, communication, and event planning;

• A strong interest in project management, communications, and event planning;


• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;


• Comfortable working in a structured and analytical way, with strong attention to detail;


• A proactive, hands-on mindset and willingness to adapt to different challenges;


• Familiarity with Google Workspace, especially Google Slides and Google Sheets;


• Currently studying in a field such as Marketing, Communications, or Commercial Economics;


• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
