Job Description - Field Service Engineer-Graduate Development Program

This fast\u2011growing business is responsible for the lifecycle management of Eaton\u2019s full portfolio of electrical products, systems, and software. We serve customers across Data Centers, Utilities \u0026 Energy, Industry, Buildings, and Healthcare by providing installation, commissioning, warranty support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spare parts supply, equipment life extension, modernization, and end\u2011of\u2011life services.\n\nOur services including Power Quality, Power Distribution, and Life Safety - support the complete lifecycle of Eaton products and systems, extending equipment lifetime, maximizing performance, and contributing to a circular and green economy.\n\n## What you\u0027ll do :\n\nDo you have a completed technical education (MBO / HBO / WO) and are you ready to turn theory into practice?\n\nWe are looking for 5 motivated technicians/engineers to join our Field Service Engineer Graduate Program a structured 3\u2011year development program designed to launch your career as a Field Service Engineer, starting July/September 2026.\n\nFrom day one, you will learn on the job, working alongside experienced professionals and experts while delivering solutions to our customers\u2019 power and energy challenges. Throughout the program, you will build strong technical knowledge and practical experience across Eaton\u2019s power systems and services through a structured training and development curriculum.\n\nLocation: 1st year- Hengelo, NL ; Year 2\u00263 Remore with frequent travel to customers acros the Netherlands.\n\nProgram structure\n\nYear 1\n\n * Participation in EMEA\u2011wide training sessions and knowledge\u2011sharing initiatives\n * Extensive technical training on Eaton\u2019s electrical product portfolio and core safety procedures\n * Gaining insight into processes, back\u2011office activities, and ways of working\n\n\n\nYear 2\n\n * Learning on the job with a focus on a specific product line\n * Building in\u2011depth technical expertise through structured shadowing and hands\u2011on experience\n\n\n\nYear 3\n\n * Working independently as a trainee Field Service Engineer at customer and end\u2011user sites\n * Contributing across all stages of the power system lifecycle, including installation and commissioning, preventive maintenance, fault diagnostics, testing, modification, repair and replacement of electrical components, and end\u2011of\u2011life services\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n## What you\u2019ll develop during the program\n\n * A strong foundation in safety standards and protocols\n * Hands\u2011on training on electrical products and systems\n * Experience in low\u2011, medium\u2011, and high\u2011voltage environments\n * Understanding of commercial impact, customer needs, and service excellence\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * Recently graduated or about to graduate (in 2026) with a technical degree (MBO / HBO / WO) in a relevant discipline (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar)\n * Basic knowledge of electrical power systems.\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Fluent English language proficiency at minimum B2 level\n * Legal eligibility to work in the Netherlands\n * Dutch language skills will be a plus\n * European driving licence is an advantage\n * Strong willingness to learn\n * Clear communication skills\n * Team\u2011oriented mindset\n * Problem\u2011solving capability\n * Willingness to travel within the assigned location/region\n * Willingness to (temporarily) relocate within the region\n\n\n\n## What we offer:\n\n * Structured 3\u2011year graduate program with clear development milestones\n * Hands\u2011on learning from day one with expert mentors\n * Technical training \u0026 certifications across power systems\n * Real field experience with customers and critical infrastructure\n * Long\u2011term career growth in a global, sustainability\u2011driven company\n\n\n\n#LI-MM2\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
