At Invest International, we invest in the maritime sector to strengthen its resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability. Our focus is on supporting the transition towards greener shipping and a future-proof maritime ecosystem. Through our investments, we aim to accelerate the decarbonization of the global shipping industry and enable innovative solutions across the entire maritime value chain.
The maritime sector is critical to the global economy, facilitating around 80% of international trade. At the same time, it faces significant challenges, including high capital intensity, an aging fleet, and increasing regulatory pressure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Invest International plays a key role in addressing these challenges by providing financing solutions where traditional markets fall short.
Our work in maritime focuses on areas such as green and hybrid vessels, retrofitting of existing fleets, maritime technologies, and port infrastructure. We support projects that contribute to SDG 13 (climate action), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), SDG 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure), and SDG 14 (life below water).
To further execute on our Maritime strategy, we are looking for an intern who is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the transition of one of the world’s most critical industries.
We are looking for an intern who can support us in:
Analyzing key transition themes within the maritime sector, including green shipping, alternative fuels, maritime technologies, and retrofit solutions.
Identifying investment opportunities across debt, equity, and asset-based financing structures.
Supporting deal teams with financial modelling, market analysis, and due diligence for active maritime transactions.
Preparing presentations, investment memos, and materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Mapping key stakeholders in the maritime ecosystem (shipowners, shipyards, financiers, technology providers) and identifying partnership opportunities.
Conducting research on regulatory developments (IMO, EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime) and their implications for investments.
Supporting pipeline development activities, including market scanning and participation in sector events.
