THE OPPORTUNITY

In this role, you will support the execution of internal communications and employee engagement activities for our Bergen op Zoom site. Working closely with the Internal Communications Lead, you will contribute to communication outputs that help keep employees informed, engaged, and connected across a dynamic manufacturing environment.

This internship offers hands-on experience across a broad range of internal communication activities. You will be involved in drafting and proofreading content, supporting communication channels, preparing simple visual materials, assisting with campaigns and events, and helping maintain planning overviews and communication follow-up. The role combines writing, structure, coordination, and creative support, making it a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build practical communication experience in a professional setting with visible day-to-day impact.

Responsibilities of the role:

•          Draft and support internal communication content, including emails, intranet updates, and screen communication

•          Proofread and adapt content for clarity, tone, consistency, and accessibility in both Dutch and English

•          Support newsletters, campaign updates, and broader employee communication activities

•          Create or update simple visual materials such as posters, presentations, and screen content

•          Support internal communication channels, planning overviews, and communication follow-up

•          Assist with the preparation and execution of internal events, townhalls, and related communication activities

•          Contribute to inclusion and engagement communication initiatives, including WIN-related activities

KEY REQUIREMENTS

•          You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Media, or a related field

•          You have a strong interest in internal communications, employee engagement, and content creation

•          You have excellent written communication skills in both Dutch and English

•          You are detail-oriented and have a strong eye for quality, clarity, and consistency

•          You are structured, proactive, and comfortable managing a mix of communication and coordination tasks

•          You are comfortable working in a site-based and operational environment

•          Experience with PowerPoint, Canva, or similar tools is considered a plus
