Here, you\u2019ll be supported in progressing \u2013 whatever your ambitions.\n\nTHE ASSIGNMENT:\n\nThe Quality Operations Intern will support the Quality department of a Medical Device Distribution Center in ensuring that operational practices comply with internal procedures, global standards, and regulatory expectations. The intern will conduct systematic reviews comparing actual practices to documented procedures across multiple Quality Operations processes. Any identified discrepancies will be evaluated, and the intern will support or lead updates to procedures and/or practical execution to ensure full compliance. \n\n\nThis role provides an opportunity to directly contribute to patient safety, regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Additionally, the intern will gain hands-on experience in working within a quality system and a highly regulated environment in the medical device industry.\n\nDURATION \n\nNegotiable\n\nPROJECT OBJECTIVES:\n\n * Practice vs. Procedure Review\n\n\n\n\n * * Conduct detailed assessments comparing operational practices to documented procedures within the Quality Operations department, incl. processes such as incoming quality release, localization release, complaint dispatch and quality control activities. \n * Identify gaps, inconsistencies or non-conformities between documented requirements and actual process execution.\n * Document findings clearly and objectively.\n\n\n\n * Corrections and Documentation Updates\n\n\n\n\n * * Implement corrections to address identified discrepancies, which may include:\n\n\n\n\n * Support revisions of local procedures, work instructions or related documentation\n\n\n\n\n * Support operational teams in adapting or correcting practical execution of procedures.\n\n\n\n\n * Collaborate with stakeholders (core team, warehouse operators, management) to validate proposed changes and ensure smooth implementation\n\n\n\n\n * Local vs. Global Procedure alignment\n\n\n\n\n * * Perform a structured review of local procedures against global procedures and standards.\n\n * Identify areas where local documentation deviates from global requirements.\n\n * Support the harmonization effort by updating or proposing updates to local documents to ensure compliance with global frameworks.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s level students (Life Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Biomedical Sciences, Supply Chain, or similar).\n\n\n\n\n * Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential; \n\n\n\n\n * Critical mindset; \n\n\n\n\n * Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills;\n\n\n\n\n * Initiative, commitment, and customer/patient orientation attitude;\n\n\n\n\n * Strong communication and reporting skills;\n\n\n\n\n * Good knowledge of Microsoft Suites (Excel, Adobe, Word, etc.);\n\n\n\n\n * Language skills \u2013 Proficiency in English.\n\n\n\n\n * Prior internship or academic experience in a regulated environment is beneficial.\n\n\n\n\n * AI interest; knowledge is an asset.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT WE OFFER:\n\n * Hands-on experience in Quality Operations within the medical device industry.\n\n\n\n\n * Exposure to real-world quality system challenges\n\n\n\n\n * Opportunity to contribute to compliance-critical processes impacting patient safety.\n\n\n\n\n * Mentorship from experienced Quality professionals.\n\n\n\n\n * A dynamic environment with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise.\n\n\n\n\n * Opportunities to grow professionally, expand your network, and gain insight into global quality systems.\n\n\n\n\nRequisition ID: 626169\n\nBoston Scientific transforms lives through innovative medical technologies that improve the health of patients around the world.
