Boskalis is currently looking for a student to start their internship (practical or graduation), starting in September or January.

Business Unit Offshore Heavy Lifting

The Offshore Heavy Lifting business unit of Boskalis is mainly active in offshore wind market, where we transport and install offshore wind farm foundations. At Boskalis we want to be a partner our clients can rely on. We are an experienced offshore installation contractor with the right expertise, experience and commitment to execute operations safely, on time and within budget. Our team exist of a large diversity in nationalities and disciplines with motivated people who aim to do it every day a bit better.

A few examples of our projects we are currently executing, or have recently finalized are located  at the East Coast of the US, North Sea Projects and in Taiwan. These are just a few examples of the exciting benchmark projects you could be working on as part of the finance team of Offshore Heavy Lifting.

In this internship you will

In the Finance & Control department we are currently addressing challenges related to automation and efficiency of tasks and processes. We believe there is high potential to enhance the efficiency of our monthly reporting, integration with SharePoint, and automated communication systems.

An example of this is the overhead costs and allocation of these expenses to projects and tenders. While we are currently performing this task in Excel for these tasks, we recognize the opportunity to explore more advanced solutions that could improve accuracy and streamline workflows.

This is just an example, but feel free to apply for an internship at our department, and discuss with us what your interest are, what drives you and where those interests can be a benefit for Boskalis. In joint cooperation we will work out a tailor-made assignment.

Your qualities

• You are doing a hbo or university bachelor program in the Netherlands in Finance & Control, Business economics or other related field;
• Strong communication skills in English;

• Are a team player focus on building relationships with and between, both financial and operational colleagues;
• You show commitment and active engagement with projects and teams, while on the other hand you are self-reliant and capable of working independently.

The resources that you will be able to use

• Receive supervision and support from (experienced) finance professionals in our team.
• Exposure to other departments like engineering, operations and SHEQ.
• Gain access to necessary data and our tools like PowerBI and Vena.
• Low threshold to plan meetings with people to gain a better understanding.
