They also work to protect our unique brand's identity, from chasing copycats to safeguarding our intellectual property globally. Next to that, our legal team offers expert advice to Rituals’ decision-makers and includes dedicated local counsel to navigate the legal nuances of our biggest regions.

Our legal professionals are business savvy, entrepreneurial and have in-depth legal knowledge. Within the last eight years, the team has grown from a one-person army to a diverse group of nine lawyers, reflecting Rituals’ evolution as a company. The team has progressed from reactive problem solvers to strategic business partners. They now manage an array of responsibilities, including a Brand Office and a Privacy Office, and are instrumental in international ventures such as market expansions into China and partnerships across the APAC region, embodying the company’s strategic evolution and global reach.

YOUR ROLE

Our Legal Team is looking to onboard a legal intern for 5/6 months starting September 2025 to work on a variety of legal cases as part of our team of legal experts. This is a great opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of a strong in-house legal department and experience whether working as a in-house counsel is something for you as a career starter. The dynamic nature of the work and the international scope provides a rich learning experience and a platform for professional growth.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and cross-functional intern community within Rituals all starting together in September!

YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

As part of our Legal Team of legal experts you will be working on a wide variety of legal work which might include:

• Assist in establishing and implementing a new corporate framework within Rituals.
• Support various privacy-related tasks, including investigating and managing data breaches and handling data subject requests from employees.
• Help create an inventory of AI tools within Rituals and actively contribute to developing a framework for AI compliance.
• Serve as a reliable partner to the brand office, identifying and addressing cases of copycat products and supporting gray market trade investigations.
• Participate in ensuring ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliance, and assist in drafting and implementing a Green Claims Playbook.
• Aid in drafting documents and gathering necessary materials for B-Corp re-certification.
• Drafting and legal assessment of various commercial contracts including terms & conditions, NDA’s and MSA’s.

YOUR INGREDIENTS

• Student currently undertaking a bachelors or masters degree in law.
• You have an affinity with Contract Law , Data Protection and Intellectual Property law.
• Interest in tech innovation.  
• You are available full time for a period of 5/6 months starting in September 2025.
• You are fluent in English and/or Dutch both written and verbal.
• Hands-on personality with a curious mind-set. Critical yet constructive. Eager to learn
