What you'll do:
- Review customer 3D & 2D files for Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Translate the customer's technical requirements into the Protolabs standard & specifications, to ensure high-quality order intake based on manufacturing capabilities
- Review any discrepancies and/or potential issues regarding the above with the sales representative.
- Price estimations for lower value projects as per the Protolabs guidelines.
- Work with appropriate internal organizations (Engineering, Product, Marketing, Supply Chain & Customer Success) to develop and validate customer solutions in accordance with capabilities.
What it takes:
- Confidence working to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy - attention to detail is critical.
- Desire to progress to a career in engineering.
- Basic understanding & willingness to learn the DFM requirements for CNC, 3DP, Sheet Metal fabrication, & Injection Molding.
- Proficient reading technical drawings.
- Ability to effectively work with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Experience with/working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Understanding of technical terminology related to manufacturing and production services.
- Excellent communicator with great people skills.
- Fluent in English. Bonus points for French or German, or other languages!
