Job Description - Sales Intern

Are you an ambitious student excited about business, startups, and learning how to sell? Contentoo is looking for a curious, proactive, and driven Sales Intern to join our Amsterdam-based team. You'll be at the heart of a fast-scaling SaaS company, learning the ropes from experienced Sales and Revenue professionals. From prospecting to pitching and using tools like HubSpot and Apollo, this is your chance to dive into real-world sales and learn by doing.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Sales Intern, you’ll support our Business Development and Sales Team across the entire commercial journey. You’ll learn how we build pipeline, qualify prospects, and close deals—and you’ll play an active role in moving things forward.

You will:

  • Help identify and research high-potential prospects and target accounts

  • Support outbound campaigns via LinkedIn, email, video, and phone

  • Write and personalise outreach messages (we’ll teach you the tricks!)

  • Update CRM records in HubSpot and track outreach results

  • Sit in on discovery calls and help prepare for client meetings

  • Contribute to outreach experiments and sales playbooks

  • Collaborate with Marketing to align messaging and feedback

What We’re Looking For

You are:

  • Currently studying Business, Economics, Marketing, Communication, or a related field (HBO/WO level)

  • Available for at least 6 months, at least 3 days a week

  • Fluent in English (Dutch or other languages are a plus)

  • Interested in tech, marketing, sales, or SaaS

  • Organised, confident, and proactive

  • Comfortable speaking to new people and not afraid of rejection

  • Eager to learn fast and take initiative

A day at Contentoo

1. Kick off the day
You step into the office, grab a coffee, and settle in. First stop: Slack and HubSpot. A few new replies have come in — promising leads you’ll help the team follow up on. You skim through your to-dos and prep for the morning stand-up.

2. Commercial team stand-up
Quick check-in with the team. Everyone shares pipeline updates, wins, and experiments they're testing. You mention a new personalization angle you’re trying — it sparks some ideas across the team.

3. Deep work: Outreach revamp
You spend the morning reviewing our outbound flows for lower-tier accounts. You spot opportunities to tailor messaging by role and industry, adjust timing rules, and flag friction points in the sequence. By the end of the session, you’ve drafted a few improvements that could bump reply rates.

4. Lunch break
Lunch is casual, loud, and full of stories — someone just booked a big call, someone else got ghosted. There’s a bit of competitive banter, but it’s all good vibes.

5. Afternoon focus: Account enrichment
In the afternoon, you dive into data. You’re researching companies, identifying key decision-makers, and double-checking roles and contact info. You build a clean, structured lead list that feeds directly into next week’s outreach.

6. Check-in and wrap-up
Before heading out, you catch up with Thomas or one of the AEs. You walk through your updates, ask a few questions, and get feedback on your work. You’re learning fast — and already helping the team move quicker.
