This is a one-of-a-kind internship experience designed specifically for (applied) university students eager to take on the dynamic world of the aviation industry.

About the Internship Opportunity 
As an intern at SkyTeam, you'll be more than just an observer. You'll be an integral part of our team, participating fully in a range of projects from network governance, airline cooperation to data analytics and membership development. Your curiosity will be your guide as you embark on an intellectual scavenger hunt, gathering and analyzing data, conducting impact assessments, coordinating cross departments and bringing innovative ideas to the table.

This is your chance to navigate the intriguing labyrinth of global aviation!

Your Assignments
  • Support in network data analysis, consolidate database and documentation.
  • Engage in meetings preparation, including cross-department coordination and creation of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Support new member recruiting and joining processes.
  • Carry out benchmarking exercises and industry researches.
  • Support member airlines with their requests.
  • Contribute to team projects by providing support and assistance.
We are looking for candidates who have great knowledge and skills:
  • Curiosity: This is the number one skill we are looking for! You will be going on your own scavenger hunt for relevant and meaningful information, so a relentless desire to dig into topics and understand things is essential  
  • Precision: It is important to ensure the highest level of accuracy in data analysis and processes management in order to minimize errors, ensure consistency and quality, and build a reputation
  • Detail orientation: We love you to care about the details and combine that with strong execution skills. This is to deliver results and take tasks/ assignments to their full conclusion
  • Team spirit: We work as a team, and would love you to fit in. This means we help each other and care personally about the others in the team
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Initiative: The ability to be a self-starter and often work independently, figuring out what tasks to do to reach a goal and delivering assigned tasks systematically without additional prompting 
  • Educational background: Having an educational background in aviation or transportation is preferred
  • Industry knowledge: Understanding and/or knowledge of airline network, scheduling, alliances, airline partnership will be viewed positively
  • Cross-cultural awareness: We thrive in an international, multi-national environment and appreciate those who understand different cultures 
  • English proficiency: A high level of English proficiency, both spoken and written, is required.
 
Must have:
  • You must maintain active enrollment in a university program throughout the duration of your internship.
  • Currently residing in the Netherlands for the duration of your internship 

*This internship duration is for a period of 6 – 8 months with a preferred start date in Feb/March 2025SkyTeam will offer you package that includes unique benefits:
  • Work in an international diverse team with various stakeholders
  • This internship has been designed to provide university students with challenging work assignments in our team. The candidate will fully participate as a team member.
  • Internship fee of EUR 424 gross per month
  • Travel expenses will be reimbursed ((if no accessibility to OV-Studentenreisproduct)
  • SkyTeam uses a Hybrid working model.
