Our Global Retail Department is responsible for more than 1400 stores worldwide and focusses on optimizing performance and processes around it. They are the linking pin between 12 local offices and the Central Head Office in Amsterdam.

Our Wholesale and Travel Retail Department works together with top perfumeries like Douglas, Sephora, Boots and Kicks, prestigious department stores such as Galeria, El Cortes Ingles, Bijenkorf and Ahlens. With 3,500 wholesale locations and shops at over 550 airports, planes, cruises and ferries, Wholesale & Travel Retail can add that extra bit of luxury and comfort to every moment of our customers’ journeys, near and far.

1. Retail Training and Development

Our International Training and Development Department at Rituals plays a key role in shaping the skills and knowledge of our global workforce. Our team is dedicated to crafting comprehensive training programs and initiatives that empower our employees worldwide.

We collaborate closely with local training teams across various regions to tailor our programs to meet the specific needs of each market while ensuring alignment with our company's overarching goals and values.

Are you pursuing a degree in HR, L&D, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory) and are passionate about developing talent and driving success through training, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll do

• Assist to develop specific training programs, whether this is online or offline.
• Provide support with projects, video, and photoshoots, be involved in storyboard & script writing, build, and update online learning modules and coordinate the translation process.
• Support with the international training & development mailbox making sure all our learners have access to the right content on our digital learning platform.
• Additionally, we offer a fast paced and innovative environment so each day will bring new and exciting projects and the potential to learn and give input into our ever-growing business.

2. Retail Commercial Development

Join the Retail Commercial Development team and support the execution of Rituals’ global retail strategy by working cross-functionally to bring commercial plans to life in stores worldwide.

Throughout your internship, you’ll collaborate with passionate colleagues across Retail, Marketing, and other departments, gaining hands-on experience in project management, commercial thinking, and stakeholder management. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that encourages initiative and gives you the space to learn, grow, and build valuable skills for your future.

What you’ll do

• Assist in developing Commercial Cycle briefings and calendars for all markets
• Support the Mystery Shopper program and help translate results into actionable insights
• Contribute to our projects (for example: Holiday Season and Commercial Store Challenges)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help drive operational excellence and deliver best-in-class customer experiences 

3. Retail Operational Excellence

During this internship, you will provide support to the Retail Operational Excellence team. You will report to the Team Lead of Retail Operational Excellence and will have a supportive role within the team. The Retail Operational Excellence team oversees operations in all shops worldwide. Our department manages various commercial and operational projects aimed at benefiting employees globally, ensuring they have the necessary tools to deliver best in class performance and provide excellent service to our customers.

What you’ll do

 Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily retail operational tasks such as:

• Retail communication,
• Maintaining the knowledge base,
• Analyzing data to improve the knowledge that is available for stores and the level of support, 
• Improving and optimizing the POS system,
• Additionally, you will be involved in communicating with markets, providing support for international retail projects from development to implementation, and liaising with our stores to gather best practices and feedback.

4. Retail Partnership Team

Join a dynamic and impactful team that bridges the gap between global strategy and local market execution. As part of Rituals’ Retail Partnership Team, you will play a supporting role in ensuring seamless collaboration between our Central Head Office and our key Partners across Asia and the Middle East. 

Our team is responsible for aligning strategic vision with operational excellence, ensuring consistency in marketing, retail operations, and brand execution. Working closely with departments like Marketing, Activation, Communication, Format & Design, and In-store Communication, you will become a crucial link in driving our brand’s growth and innovation in some of the most exciting regions of the world.

What you’ll do:

• Play a supporting role in developing commercial briefings and calendars for our partner markets.
• Act as a communication link between head office and local partner teams, ensuring clarity and consistency.
• Support a variety of commercial and operational projects, including events and newsletters.
• Collaborate across departments to drive efficiency, operational excellence, and brand success.

5. Retail Communication Internship:

Are you ready to dive into the world of internal communication? As an intern with our Global Retail Department, you’ll join our enthusiastic Retail Communication team. Our mission? To elevate everyday moments into extraordinary experiences. Imagine being part of a team that reaches more than 10,000 store employees across Europe through our internal communication platform ‘Your Rituals’, and through our ‘Rituals Live Events’. That’s where you come in! 

What you’ll do:

• Play a crucial support role in the organisation of our Rituals Live Events & Retail Events 
• Create inspiring, ‘bite-sized’ content. TikTok guru wanted! 
• Support with copywriting, script writing and survey creations 
• Support with translation processes
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and publishing content to a global audience 

6. Travel Retail Department:

Are you curious about the world of travel retail, eager to learn and excited to work in a dynamic international environment? Join the Travel Retail Department and immerse yourself in a fast-paced sector that brings Rituals to travelers worldwide!

As a Travel Retail Intern, you’ll support the Duty-Free & Hotel and Airline (H&A) teams with a variety of tasks, from analyzing order errors to improve sales, supporting with store openings, sharing master data with partners, sending packages to support operations at location level and creating product assortment sheets. You’ll play an important role in helping our team to operate successfully around the globe.

During this internship, you’ll gain insights into many areas of the business - Travel Retail store operations, partner management, maintaining operational excellence, implementation of Rituals around the world, and translating data from Rituals to a partner. Additionally, you’ll help organize Travel Retail team events and handle ad hoc operational requests, giving you insight into this fast-growing industry. Develop your coordination skills and play a role in expanding Rituals’ presence in airports, airlines, and beyond.

All internships are located in Amsterdam, at our Central Head Office. We are looking for interns for 32-40 hours a week, from the 1st of February 2026 for 6 months.

Qualifications

• Education: Currently studying in HBO/WO education in Communication/ Business Administration/Hotel Management/ Marketing/Branding/ Economics and other. *Please note we can only accept applications from candidates who are actively enrolled in their study for the entire duration of the internship.
• Excellent communication skills in English
• You are pro-active, independent, inquisitive and solution-oriented
• Good skills: planning, organization, and multitasking
• You can work with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
