We’re looking for a Technical Writer Intern to support our team by formatting technical documents and recreating diagrams and flow charts using tools like Microsoft Word and Figma. This is an ideal role for a tech-savvy student eager to sharpen real-world skills in formatting, design, and communication.
It’s a 3-months internship.
What You'll Do
- Format technical documents using advanced Microsoft Word tools (styles, TOCs, section breaks, etc.)
- Recreate flow charts, diagrams, and visuals in Figma to match content and branding
- Ensure layout, spacing, and typography are consistent and polished across all documents
- Manage complex structures like footnotes, cross-references, and multi-level headings
- Proofread and review formatting for clarity, consistency, and visual quality
- Collaborate with team members to understand project needs and visual guidelines
- Maintain organized files and track version history of documents and graphics
- Support branding and formatting standards across all deliverables
What You'll Need
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (design, communication, or technical fields preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, especially with templates, tables, and page layout features
- Hands-on experience with Figma or similar tools to create vector graphics and diagrams
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to high-quality visual presentation
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
- Solid understanding of layout and basic design principles
- Clear communication skills for collaborating and receiving feedback
- Familiarity with Office tools like Excel or PowerPoint is a plus
