YOUR JOURNEY AS A TRADER INTERN

Our 10-week internship programme in Amsterdam is your chance to experience life as a trader at IMC. As a Trader Intern, you will delve into the proprietary trading landscape during a week of engaging and challenging classroom-based learning, continue to hone your skills with a meaningful project, and build a valuable network of IMC traders and engineers. Throughout the summer, you will receive comprehensive support from dedicated internship trainers, and a one-on-one mentor to guide you in your work and professional development. Your Core Responsibilities 

• Generate new trading strategies


• Iterate current trading strategies


• Work on tooling, functionality, and/or visibility for specific use cases


• Hone your trading skills by working on a significant project, desk shadowing, and mock trading sessions


• Attend workshops, trainings, and other fun social activities alongside the full internship cohort

Your Skills and Experiences

• In your penultimate year of study in mathematics, physics, econometrics, or a related quantitative field


• Experience in a programming language is a plus (e.g. Python, Matlab, or R)


• You thrive working in an environment where creativity, teamwork, and innovation are recognised and rewarded


• You want to make an impact on meaningful and challenging projects


• Outstanding analytical skills


• Genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge or experience is required)


• Must be able to start the internship in June 2026
