Accounts Payable - Remote Work

Job Description: The Ocean Cleanup is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional to join our team in a remote part-time position. As an Associate level team member, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role and possess a resourceful and passionate attitude towards their work.

Responsibilities: - Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments - Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies - Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable - Maintain accurate records of all transactions and expenses - Communicate with vendors to address any payment issues or inquiries - Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as needed

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial role - Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Resourceful and passionate attitude towards work - Soft skills such as adaptability and negotiation
