Job Description - Digital Marketing (Paid & Social Media) Intern

Summary 

In this internship, your main responsibility will be creating, managing, and improving online campaigns and content that attract and engage students worldwide. To do this, you'll need strong analytical skills, creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and a good understanding of current trends. 

During the internship, you'll create advertising campaigns to attract prospective student segments with the right message and visuals to catch their interest. After launching the campaigns, you'll monitor the campaign's performance and make an analysis. Based on your research, you will optimize the campaign to ensure the highest ROI while working closely with the commercial team and helping with reporting. 

Besides your main responsibilities, you'll also get the chance to try out creating content for social media. We appreciate independence and a self-initiative attitude, someone who can take the lead and develop their own ideas and initiatives. Apart from that, you will have the space to get involved in other cool marketing projects with our colleagues, such as omnichannel marketing and branding projects. 

Your challenge 

During your 6 months internship in our B2C Marketing team, you'll experiment with multiple marketing channels, help Studyportals attract high-quality traffic, and generate interest among our target audience: highly motivated international students. 

You will reach the target audience by setting up online campaigns on Google networks, social media (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube), along with various other mediums. 

You will be strongly encouraged to come up with and develop your own ideas and initiatives. You will get the opportunity to impact current projects with a highly motivated international team. 

Your day to day 

You will: 

  • Create, implement, analyse, and optimize online campaigns to drive high quality traffic to our website and generate brand awareness.  
  • Track and analyse the campaign results and work on the reports. 
  • Optimize your campaigns according to our main KPIs.  
  • Create great and engaging content, and come up with new campaign ideas, visuals, and catchy Call to Actions.  
  • Be involved in cool marketing related projects and support the team with its current user engagement incentives.  
  • Learn all about remarketing techniques and apply them. 

Requirements

  • Are currently pursuing your studies in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business) / must be enrolled at university. 
  • Are a quick learner and ideally have first experience or understanding of web-based tools (such as Instagram, Canva, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Excel). 
  • Pay great attention to detail while having a creative side and a keen eye for visuals. 
  • Have an analytical mindset. 
  • Are a positive, responsible and self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn. 
  • Are proactive and not afraid to suggest and initiate your own ideas. 
  • Are proficient in English and have great English writing skills (no Dutch required). 
  • Enjoy a fast-paced, vibrating working environment with constructive feedback.
