HR Intern - Spring 2025

The People & Operations team is a critical part of our ecosystem at Metabolic, an essential element in helping us to maximize our overall impact and manage a variety of organizations that together serve a coherent sustainability mission.  

We are currently recruiting for an HR Intern to join our People team. In this unique and exciting opportunity, you will be a valued member of our small close-knit, and warm team, with a focus on support in all aspects of HR administration. Your role will contribute to our mission by supporting your HR teammates on all HR-related programs and initiatives across our ecosystem of companies. 

Working closely to support the HR and Operations team, you will learn about delivering a professional, efficient, and flawless HR and Operational life cycle. Key activities include:

• Assisting with the recruitment coordination (for example, scheduling interviews with job applicants, sending out tests/assignments, answering basic queries to applicants, scanning CVs as required, etc.)

• Assisting in onboarding and offboarding processes 

• Drafting employment contracts and preparing contractual change/contract extension letters

• Coordinating presents for employees 

• Announcing  birthdays, celebrations and events 

• Maintaining an overview of our HR information systems/Personnel files to ensure confidential employee data is kept current 

• Provide general administrative support to the HR department

The internship is available from March 2025 and should last for five to six months. It requires four to five days of work per week. This internship provides a stipend amounting to €877.59/month pro-rata (based on 40 hours per week).

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Enrolled in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

• Previous experience or strong interest in HR topics, and a desire to learn and grow in the field

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• The ability to work independently and in a team 

• Strong written and spoken communication skills (English)
