Job Description - Assistant R&D Engineer

Job description

Company

DeepHealth, a fully owned subsidiary of RadNet, provides AI-powered health informatics to empower breakthroughs in care delivery. The heart of our portfolio of solutions, the DeepHealth OS, is a cloud-native operating system that orchestrates all data to drive value across the enterprise. DeepHealth aims to elevate the radiologist's role beyond radiology and across the entire care pathway. It empowers all users across the care continuum with personalized workflows to make work easier and more meaningful.

DeepHealth leverages advanced AI technologies in breast, lung, prostate and brain health, and operational efficiencies to create end-to-end efficiency across the enterprise. www.deephealth.com

Role Summary

As an Assistant R&D Engineer, you will be helping the R&D (Research & Development) teams deliver the next release of our products. This will allow you to learn the different phases of product development of software as a medical device. There will also be the possibility to help our quality team and our Clinical Scientist in their various tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with migrating from one test environment to another.

  • Assist with testing of our prostate AI solution (Saige Prostate) before release.

  • Contribute to the product (technical) documentation, such as updating the user guides, and help with the post-market surveillance documentation.

  • Handle independent side tasks which can range from working on coding scripts to automate certain processes, or prepare data for various clinical science projects.

 Competencies:

  • You adopt a structured and accurate way of working.

  • You possess an analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.

  • You are capable of working independently but also enjoy collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Good communication skills in English.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • Finished Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Technical Medicine or Biomedical Engineering.

  • The right to work in the Netherlands

What We Offer:

  • This is a temporary position (I.e. for a period around 5 months to 7 months).

  • You will be working part time (24h/week) with flexibility in working hours (but not during the weekend), and the possibility to work partly from home. It is expected that you work at least 1 to 2 days per week from our Rotterdam office.

  • You’ll receive a gross monthly salary of €2,000 inclusive of vacation pay

  • You will be working mainly for our prostate product, in a growing team of 40+ colleagues with a lively mix of R&D engineers, AI specialists, Customer Success, Clinical Science and a Quality/Regulatory staff, based in the Netherlands.

  • We will provide free team lunches in our offices in Amsterdam or Rotterdam, and social events are frequently planned.

We are looking for someone who has finished their Bachelor studies and wants to discover company life at a healthcare company. Working at this position while studying is not possible since the majority of the working hours should match the working hours of the rest of the R&D team.

We are looking for someone complementing our current team rather than just fitting in with the crowd. So if you have any other skills we haven’t mentioned yet, but will help DeepHealth grow and change the world of healthcare, please include them in your small motivation letter.

For more information you can contact [email protected]. If you are interested in the position, please send your CV and a small motivation letter.

Recruitment by commercial agencies in relation to this posting will not be accepted.
