Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are hiring a Frontend Engineer to join Utiva’s core engineering team.

This is an internal platform role, which means you will not be locked into a single product. You may work across different parts of Utiva’s ecosystem—hiring workflows, talent management tools, compliance interfaces, or payroll systems—depending on business needs and priorities.

We’re looking for an engineer who is adaptable, product -minded, and comfortable building across domains, not someone tied to one narrow surface area.

What You’ll Work On

Depending on priority, you may work on:

• Hiring pipelines, talent profiles, and workforce dashboards
  

• Contract management and onboarding flows
  

• Payroll, wallets, payouts, and transaction interfaces
  

• Admin and internal tools for operations, compliance, and reporting
  

• Shared UI components and internal design systems
  

You will rotate across projects as needed, contributing wherever frontend impact is highest.

Responsibilities

Frontend Engineering

• Build scalable, reusable frontend components using React and TypeScript
  

• Implement complex workflows into clear, intuitive user interfaces
  

• Ensure performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices
  

• Integrate frontend features with backend APIs and real -time services
  

Cross -Product Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers across teams
  

• Move fluidly between projects as priorities shift
  

• Contribute to shared frontend standards, patterns, and architecture
  

• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and releases
  

Quality & Maintainability

• Write clean, maintainable, and well -tested code
  

• Help improve frontend architecture and reduce technical debt
  

• Debug UI issues and resolve edge cases across products
  

• Maintain documentation for shared components and workflows

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer
  

• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript
  

• Experience building production -grade web applications
  

• Comfortable working across multiple codebases or domains
  

• Strong understanding of state management and async data handling
  

• Ability to adapt quickly to new problem spaces
