The Audit Officer will be responsible for conducting audits, assessing financial risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Internal Audits: Plan and execute internal audits to assess financial and operational controls. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement. Compliance Checks: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations. Review financial documents for accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess areas of significant business risk. Recommend measures to mitigate identified risks. Financial Reporting: Analyze financial statements and reports for discrepancies and variances. Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations. Process Improvement: Suggest improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls. Assist in developing and updating audit programs and procedures. Fraud Detection: Investigate irregularities and suspicious activities. Report findings and assist in the development of fraud prevention strategies. Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments to gather necessary information. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to the Account Head and management. Follow-Up: Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations. Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions have been taken. Training and Development: Assist in training staff on internal controls and compliance requirements. Stay updated with auditing best practices and industry standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proficiency in audit software and MS Office Suite. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
