Job Description - Chief Operating Officer

An Abuja based leading advisory firm providing consulting services in investment strategy government relations and regulatory affairs are currently hiring for a Chief Operating Officer(COO)

Location: Central Business District Abuja

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth : Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute growth strategies and expansion plans in Nigeria and across Africa.

  • Operational Excellence : Oversee and optimize the firms daytoday operations ensuring efficiency scalability and highperformance standards.

  • Financial Leadership : Provide financial acumen and leadership to drive profitability manage budgets and make datadriven decisions.

  • Stakeholder Managemen t: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders clients partners and regulatory bodies.

  • Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes enhance productivity and drive innovation within the organization.

  • Structural Development : Work on the development and implementation of organizational structures policies and procedures to support longterm growth and sustainability.

  • Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a highperforming team fostering a culture of collaboration accountability and professional development.

  • Audit and Compliance : Ensure adherence to industryspecific regulations internal policies and best practices drawing on audit expertise where applicable.

  • Data Analysis : Utilize datadriven insights to make informed decisions track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  1. MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business Finance or a related field.

  2. Proven experience in a senior leadership role preferably in the advisory consulting or financial services sector. Strong financial background with the ability to manage budgets analyze financial data and drive financial strategies.

  3. Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a track record of building and maintaining relationships.

  4. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality results.

  5. Experience with process optimization and improving operational efficiency.

  6. Knowledge of audit practices especially in a large firm context is a significant plus. Previous experience working with or for major firms like Deloitte PwC EY or similar is a plus.

Benefits

Monthly Remuneration : N1.5 million N2.8 million

Minimum academic qualification of BSc degree in marketing At least 5 years of experience An MBA will be an added advantage Creative and innovative thinking Strong business acumen with an appreciation for commerciality Solid analytical and negotiation skills Creative problem-solving abilities; strong verbal and written presentation skills Intermediate/advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
