Responsible for extending valuable support in analyzing the financial services and providing appropriate solutions to achieve the financial objectives as you uphold the brand values of M-KOPA.
What's exciting about this role?
You will book bank payments in accordance with the M-KOPA’s approved chart of accounts by two days after the payments is affected.
You will process requisition and other business forms, check account balances, and purchases.
You will manage monthly general ledger reconciliation of Bank, AP, Intercompany & Payroll.
You will manage the purchase to pay process and specifically ensure Purchase Orders are raised on time (before the goods / services are ordered), have all correct information (including an attachment from the vendor e.g., a quote) and are appropriately received.
You will update liquidity report/rolling cash flow and provide insight to Group Treasury team and In-country management team.
You will analyze financial performance and provide commentary on the variances between actual performance against prior month and budget.
You will manage all intercompany postings and reconciliation e.g. Transfer pricing, Intercompany Loans & Intercompany receivables & payables.
You will liaise with the company’s auditors, bankers, and tax advisors.
You will maintain records and document financial processes.
You will update financial spreadsheets and reports with the latest available data.
You will collaborate with procurement units to ensure there is suitable inventory forecast for rolling cash flow.
You will handle treasury functions and manage all bank and card accounts.
You will management of expense retirement of employees and ensuring compliance with procedure.
Expertise
You are a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Financing or any related field.
You have 2- 4 years' experience in a similar position or worked with a reputable accounting consulting firm.
You have accounting qualifications (CIMA/CPA/ACCA/ICAN) or in the final stage.
You have proficiency in the application of all MS Office functions, especially MS Word & Excel.
You have extensive knowledge of accounting standards, fiscal procedures, and applicable tax codes.
You have a proactive approach to work, the ability to handle multiple tasks and to maintain a high-quality standard when working under time pressure.
You have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
You have great organizational and time-management skills.
