Job Description - Front Desk Officer/Receptionist

Job Location : Wuye, Abuja, Nigeria.

Working hours : You will be working 4 days a week and every Saturdays. The 4 days are flexible and will be discussed at the interview stage.

Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated, highly professional and sociable Female Front Desk Officer to join our team. As the first point of contact for our organization, you must be presentable.

You will be responsible for providing exceptional (prompt and courteous) customer service to everyone that comes into the organization.

The ideal candidate will:

  1. Welcome and interact with visitors, clients, students and colleagues in person, over the telephone, via emails, text messages, social media chats and other  communication platforms.
  2. Sort out documents, keep database of students and staff records and ensure it is accurately recorded and updated timely.
  3. Carry out other administrative tasks such as typing, scanning and taking minute of meetings.
  4. You must be willing and cheerful in positively impacting lives daily.

The ideal candidate must posses the following skills:

  1. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening skills).
  2. Excellent telephone etiquette (telemarketing skills). You must have an upbeat happy and professional voice over the phone.
  3. Customer Care (Our customers satisfaction is of upmost priority. You must be able to provide excellent service to them at all times).
  4. Multi-tasking skills (You will be carrying out the role of a receptionist and an administrator).
  5. You must be child-friendly, because you will be working in a school environment.
  6. Technical skill (Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint to an intermediary level). You should be able to use at least one software or app other than social media apps.
  7. Time management (Our clients time is very precious to us. Do you have an excellent time management skills?) Punctuality to work is key in time management.
  8. Interpersonal skills (Are you good with people and a fantastic team player? Because we are all about treating people the way we want to be treated. Do you have empathy? Come join our team. We are big on empathy.
  9. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
  10. Positive attitude and a big smile.

  12. Organizational skills (You must be tidy. Your organizational skills must reflect your ability to sort, arrange and organize your work flow,  prioritize tasks, sort out and organize documents and maintain a clean, organized and professional work environment that reflects the quality of the organization).
  13. Conflict resolution skill/problem-solving  (You must be able to resolve conflicts in the work place by communicating with the parties professionally and/or involve appropriate authorities. Do you have the skills to solve customers queries and make them happy? Our customers mean a lot to us, so we need to know you have the skills.
  14. Attention to detail (Are you high quality orientated? Are you thorough, observant and skillful? You must be able to carry out tasks dutifully, following the details and specifications given)
  15. Adaptability (Are you flexible, open-minded and possess the ability to adapt to new workplace culture? Are you quick to adapt to new changes at work?
  16. Professionalism (You must portray a high level of courtesy in your appearance, mannerism and every other areas, within and outside the organization)
  17. Continuous professional development attribute. (You must have the attitude of continuous learning. You will learn everyday on the job).

EXPERIENCE

  1. A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in business administration or other relevant fields.
  2. A minimum of 2 years practical work experience in an administrative and/or front-desk role. (Excluding NYSC year).
  3. A minimum of one year experience in telephone-answering based role and face-to-face customer based interaction.
  4. A certification in customer service is an added advantage.
  5. Previous experience in a school is an added advantage.
  6. You must be 28 years and above to apply for the role.
