Job Description - National Sales Manager

Our client (Group of Companies) is a trading and manufacturing group with diverse investments in consumer goods, electronics, automobile accessories, paper and many more high- impact products. Due to expansion, they are in need of a NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

 

Location : Lagos

Job Responsibilities:

  • ∙Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and objectives.
  • ∙Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maximize performance and productivity.
  • ∙Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and
    territories.
  • ∙Monitor and analyze sales metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective  actions as needed.
  • ∙Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
  • ∙Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop promotional strategies and product  launches.
  • ∙Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify  opportunities and threats.
  • ∙Prepare and present regular sales reports and performance updates to senior management.
  • ∙Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
  • ∙Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

 

Job Requirements:

  • ∙Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree is a  plus.
  • ∙Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role in the FMCG sector, with a minimum of 7  years of experience.
  • ∙Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets.
  • ∙Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • ∙Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • ∙Deep understanding of the Nigerian FMCG market, including distribution channels, consumer behavior, and regulatory environment.
  • ∙Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • ∙Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria.
