SALAD BAR ATTENDANT

Job Purpose

To prepare and serve fresh, high-quality food while maintaining excellent customer service, cleanliness, hygiene and operational standards at the salad bar.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare salads, sandwiches, paninis and other menu items according to approved recipes and portion standards
2. Prepare ingredients and complete daily mise en place before service
3. Maintain the freshness, quality and proper presentation of food items
4. Follow food handling, hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times
5. Serve customers courteously and respond appropriately to customer requests
6. Maintain a clean, organised and attractive service area
7. Monitor ingredients and inform the Supervisor of low-stock or spoiled items
8. Follow proper storage and labelling procedures
9. Minimise food waste through proper preparation, portion control and storage
10. Support opening and closing activities
11. Comply with company policies, procedures and safety standards

Qualifications & Experience

1. Minimum SSCE/OND
2. Proven previous customer service or food service experience
3. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling is desirable

Working Conditions

Role requires extended periods of standing, shift-based work including weekends and public holidays, and occasional lifting of stock and supplies.
