Account Officer

Our client, a reputable company, is seeking a qualified and experienced Accounts Officer to join their team. This role is based in Victoria Island, Lagos.

•  Always keep records of creditors for management information.
  
•  Check bank reconciliation and updating of cashbooks.
  
•  Must be skillful in using Sage
  Business Cloud Accounting Software 
  
•   Monthly payroll processing and reconciliations.
  
•  Maintaining the accurate and timely processing of general ledger reconciliation and journal entries.
  
•  Ensuring accurate and timely accounting reporting; monthly, quarterly, and year -end close.
  
•   Post sales and purchase invoices to ledgers.
  
•  Receive all invoices for jobs and process
  payments to vendors.
  
•    Post journal entries to Accounting system.
  
•  Assist with month -end closing procedures and ensure timely completion.
  
•  Manage petty cash and prepare regular reconciliations.
  
•  Liaise with external auditors during annual audits.
  
•  Maintain accurate and up -to -date accounting records in compliance with Nigerian accounting standards
