Job Summary

The Aesthetic Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality, non-surgical cosmetic and dermatological treatments, including injectables and skincare procedures, in a professional and safe clinical environment. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, aesthetic artistry, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure optimal patient care, safety, and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in nursing, a passion for aesthetics, and demonstrable experience in performing cosmetic procedures while maintaining compliance with healthcare and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Consultation & Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive consultations to assess patient goals, concerns, and medical history.
  
  

• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patients aesthetic needs and expectations.
  
  

• Educate patients on available procedures, expected results, potential side effects, and aftercare instructions.
  
  

2. Procedure Administration

• Perform non-surgical cosmetic procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, PRP therapy, and laser treatments.
  
  

• Ensure precision, safety, and comfort during all aesthetic procedures.
  
  

• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and adhere to clinical safety standards at all times.
  
  

3. Patient Education & Follow-Up Care

• Provide pre- and post-treatment guidance to patients for optimal results and recovery.
  
  

• Manage patient follow-up visits to assess outcomes, address concerns, and document progress.
  
  

• Offer expert advice on skincare regimens and treatment maintenance.
  
  

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient medical records.
  
  

• Ensure compliance with health regulations, professional ethics, and data protection standards.
  
  

• Participate in internal audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical protocols.
  
  

5. Professional Development & Trend Awareness

• Stay abreast of evolving technologies, techniques, and trends in aesthetic medicine.
  
  

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
  
  

• Promote a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the aesthetic team.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Licensure

• Bachelors Degree or Registered Nursing (RN) qualification from an accredited institution.
  
  

• Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) license.
  
  

• Certification or specialized training in Aesthetic Medicine, Dermatology Nursing, or Cosmetic Procedures (an added advantage).
  
  

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in aesthetic, dermatology, or cosmetic practice.
  
  

• Proven competence in performing injectables and other minimally invasive cosmetic treatments.
  
  

Technical & Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent knowledge of facial anatomy, physiology, and skincare science.
  
  

• Strong technical ability in administering injectables and operating aesthetic devices.
  
  

• Exceptional communication and empathy skills to build client trust and satisfaction.
  
  

• Professional grooming, confidentiality, and patient-centered service orientation.
