Our client is a group of companies in Nigeria. Due to expansion, they are in need of an Asset Manager.

Job Summary
The Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimization
of all physical assets across the company operations, including storage facilities, transportation fleets,
retail stations, and related infrastructure. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep
understanding of asset management within the downstream oil and gas industry, ensuring assets are
utilized efficiently, maintained properly, and aligned with the company's operational goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies for the effective management of assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring maximum return on investment.
Oversee the development and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure asset reliability and minimize downtime.
Ensure all assets comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines, coordinating with relevant departments to address any compliance issues.
Prepare and manage budgets related to asset acquisition, maintenance, and operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial objectives.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor asset performance, conducting regular assessments and implementing improvements as necessary.
Lead and mentor the asset management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Work closely with other departments, including Operations, Finance, and Compliance, to ensure asset strategies support overall business objectives.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Asset Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is advantageous.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in asset management within the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of asset management principles, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in asset management software and tools.
Ability to develop and implement effective asset management strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
