Assistant Teacher

Job Description

Role Summary:
The Early Years Assistant Teacher will support the Early Years Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, pupil care, learning preparation, behaviour management and the implementation of age-appropriate learning experiences. The post holder will contribute to the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of pupils while maintaining high standards of care, professionalism and safeguarding

Job Responsibilities
•Assist the Early Years Teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning activities.

•Provide attentive care, supervision and support to pupils, promoting their safety, wellbeing and independence.

•Support positive behaviour and maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.

•Observe and support pupils' learning, development and individual needs, providing relevant feedback to the class teacher.

•Support safeguarding, classroom routines, learning resources and other school activities as required.
