Job Description - Business Development Executive (ABUJA)

Study Now is a leading education consultancy firm, dedicated to assisting students in finding the best study opportunities worldwide. We work closely with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions to facilitate the recruitment and admission process of students. We are committed to providing personalized support and guidance to our clients, ensuring they make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.



The Business Development Executive will be pivotal in expanding partnerships with educational institutions and engaging audiences as the face of Study Now. This dynamic role merges business development with digital engagement to attract Nigerian students to study abroad programs. Working closely with the marketing team, you’ll also establish and nurture relationships with educational institutions and create compelling social media content that highlights exciting study opportunities.



Working Hours: Full -Time (Mon -Fri) 8 AM – 4 PM OR 9 AM - 5PM


Salary expectations: $300 - $350 Monthly (Based on Experience) + other benefits


Office Location: Abuja





Main activities and responsibilities



· Identify, engage, and build partnerships with educational institutions, universities, colleges, and language schools in Nigeria.


· Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, target regions, and competitive opportunities within the Nigerian student recruitment market.


· Generate leads through networking events, conferences, online platforms, and referrals.


· Foster and maintain strong relationships with agents, counsellors, and stakeholders to support agency services.


· Provide comprehensive counselling to prospective students and their families,


guiding them on study opportunities and program selection.


· Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns that appeal to Nigerian students interested in studying abroad.


· Host live sessions, webinars, and recorded videos on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok to engage with students and showcase opportunities.


· Conduct interviews with students, alumni, and university representatives, sharing success stories and educational options.


· Develop and post engaging reels, stories, and live content to drive awareness and interest in international education programs.


· Actively engage with audiences during live sessions, answering questions and promoting the agency's services.


· Work closely with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with strategic goals and supports overall campaign objectives.


· Assist with event promotions for education fairs, webinars, and expos to increase attendance and engagement.


· Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring that messaging and presentation are consistent and aligned with Study Now’s voice and values.


· Promote the brand through professional interactions across all social media and digital platforms.


· Guide the sales team in supporting Nigerian students with applications, visa assistance, financial planning, and accommodation.


· Ensure compliance with international student regulations and maintain accurate student placement records.


· Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and pitches to potential clients or partners.


· Customize proposals to meet client needs and align with company goals.


· Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market changes to remain competitive.


· Participate in professional development opportunities to improve sales and business development skills.


·Fulfil other duties as assigned by the Line Manager, contributing to the efficient


functioning of the organization.




Additional Key Requirements:


· Strong knowledge of the education systems and study opportunities in Australia, US,UK, Canada, or Europe, including admission requirements, visa processes, and


scholarship options.



· Familiarity with relevant educational institutions, courses, and programs in the target


study destinations.


· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.


· Demonstrable ability to drive business growth by identifying and converting leads into clients.


· Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.


· Skilled at networking and identifying opportunities for collaboration and partnership.


· Ability to think critically and develop strategies that align with the business’s goals and objectives.


· Familiarity with digital platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) for brand promotion and audience engagement.


· Ability to create compelling content and engage with audiences effectively through social media.


· A strong understanding of customer needs and a proactive approach to addressing them.


· Ability to offer solutions that meet clients' requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction.


· Ability to adapt quickly to unexpected situations and manage live events or client interactions under pressure.





Person Specification


● A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.


● At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the education or service industry.


● Proven track record of successfully generating leads, securing new business, and achieving sales targets.


● Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track leads and manage relationships.


● Basic knowledge of video editing tools and social media management platforms.


● Experience in the education sector, particularly in student recruitment, is an advantage.


● A team player who works effectively with colleagues from different departments to meet shared objectives.



Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) could be beneficial.



Able to demonstrate:



● A high degree of self-motivation with the ability to work independently, take effective decisions, resolve unforeseen problems and adapt to changing circumstances.


● Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing own workload and that of the team and planning ahead to meet deadlines.


● An understanding of information governance and data protection.



Special requirements


Able to undertake duties at different premises. Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours to effectively support the company’s operations and events.



Travel may be required in order to attend conferences, events, new projects and effectively represent the Company in key networks.
