Job Description - Business Development Officer Maritime Connectivity

Our client is an engineering company that specialises in the use of digital technologies to develop and deliver solutions in the maritime and oil & gas industries.

Job Description

Our client is seeking a proactive and target-driven Business Development Officer to drive growth in their Maritime Connectivity services. The successful candidate will be responsible for building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the development of tailored solutions that meet the unique connectivity needs of the maritime sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the maritime connectivity market.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping companies, offshore operators, and maritime service providers.

  • Assist in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets.

  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations for prospective clients.

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.

  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions align with client needs.

  • Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s offerings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Maritime Studies, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, business development, or client relations (maritime or telecommunications experience is an advantage).

  • Knowledge of satellite communications, VSAT systems, and maritime connectivity solutions is desirable.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

The remuneration is competitive along with other benefits.
