Job Description - Business Performance Leader

Company Description

FoodCo Nigeria Limited is a diversified consumer goods company with interests in retail, quick service restaurants, entertainment, and manufacturing. Founded in the rustic city of Ibadan, south-west Nigeria in 1982.

FoodCo is one of the Top 5 leading national supermarket chains in Nigeria, ranked by annual sales volume of national consumer brands and number of outlets. FoodCo is a multi-channel retailer in Nigeria, offering in-store and online channels for its full assortment of programs.

The company has over 22 outlets in Oyo, Lagos, and Ogun states and continues to expand with multiple outlets currently in development. FoodCo has also made significant investments in social enterprise as a facilitator for small business growth. This includes providing access-to-market channels for small-scale suppliers as well as hosting capacity-building workshops to help small businesses scale their operations.

Job Description

Strategic Functions:

  1. Support and help drive company-wide transformation and strategic initiatives while building and maintaining key relationships across the Organization
  2. Assist in overseeing strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of the executive management
  3. Design and implement cross-functional systems and processes that the Organisation needs to grow at scale.
  4. Maintain rhythm of key operating mechanisms to assist the CEO in driving business operations and strategy projects. Work with the senior and mid-level leadership to ensure effective and timely execution of key business reviews.
  5. Collaborate with the leadership to track, analyze and report organizational performance periodically

Administrative Functions:

  1. Plan/ Organise the CEO’s weekly and monthly administrative duties; manage an active calendar of appointments, composure and preparation of correspondences for meetings.
  2.  Assist the CEO with his external commitments including engagements with a variety of external stakeholders
  3. Ensure the CEO has all the information needed to be as productive as possible and send out agendas to meeting attendees as necessary
  4. Monitor information flow; sometimes act as the gatekeeper, ensuring the CEO’s involvement in a project or decision-making process is at the right moment.
  5. Manage the meeting cadence for the board of directors and leadership team, ensuring materials are sent in advance, time is well spent, and objectives
  6. Plan and lead company retreats and other special events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience at a top-tier management consulting firm.
  • A Masters in Business Administration will be an added advantage
