Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Anaesthetist to provide specialized anaesthetic and perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical and interventional procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for preoperative assessment, administration and management of cardiac anaesthesia, intraoperative haemodynamic monitoring, postoperative stabilization, and critical care support.
Key Responsibilities

⢠Conduct comprehensive pre-anaesthetic assessment and risk stratification of patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
⢠Develop and implement individualized anaesthetic plans for cardiac surgical and interventional procedures.
⢠Administer general and regional anaesthesia, sedation, and advanced perioperative techniques as clinically appropriate.
⢠Provide anaesthetic management for open-heart procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, and other major cardiac procedures.
⢠Manage patients requiring advanced haemodynamic monitoring and cardiovascular support during surgery.
⢠Manage difficult airways and perioperative emergencies, including cardiac arrest and major haemorrhage.
⢠Provide postoperative anaesthetic and critical care support for cardiac surgery patients.
⢠Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons and perfusionists during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures.
⢠Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac team meetings and clinical decision making.
