Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our hospitality maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the construction, installation, repair, and upkeep of wooden structures and furniture throughout the facility. A strong eye for detail, craftsmanship, and safety compliance are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Construction & Installation: Build and install doors, frames, furniture, partitions, and other wooden fittings.

* Repairs & Maintenance: Fix worn or damaged woodwork, including furnishings and fixtures in guest rooms and public areas.

* Blueprint Interpretation: Read and follow drawings, work orders, and measurement specifications accurately.

* Material Handling: Work with wood, laminates, and hardware while adhering to design and finish standards.

* Collaboration: Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, and other technicians during renovation or repair projects.

* Safety Compliance: Maintain clean, hazard-free workspaces and follow safety protocols diligently.

* Quality Assurance: Ensure all finished work meets aesthetic and structural requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

* 3-5 years of proven carpentry experience (preferably in hotels, resorts, or commercial buildings)

* Competence with hand and power tools (saws, drills, chisels, etc.)

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and measurements

* Excellent finishing skills and attention to craftsmanship

* Good physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and work in confined spaces

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills

* Minimum of SSCE or equivalent

Typical Work Environment:

* Hotels and Resorts: Repair and maintain rooms, restaurants, lobbies, and back-end service areas.

* Event Spaces: Build and maintain décor and structural setups.

* Cruise Ships & Lounges: Maintain wooden elements in cabins, dining areas, and shared facilities.
