The Bodega Emporium, a premium retail and grocery store in Lekki Phase 1, is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and reliable Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive shopping experience for all our customers.
Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries or requests.
Scan and process items accurately using the store’s POS system.
Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment, issuing receipts and change where necessary.
Bag, box, or wrap purchased items neatly.
Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
Monitor and balance the cash register at the start and end of shifts.
Follow all store policies regarding transactions, returns, and exchanges.
Report price discrepancies, product issues, or unusual transactions to the supervisor.
Assist in restocking shelves near checkout counters when needed.
Uphold store standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Minimum of OND, HND, or University Degree in any discipline.
Previous work experience in a retail or grocery store is mandatory.
Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Honest, reliable, and punctual.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
