Chemistry Tutor

Summary: 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chemistry Tutor to deliver high-quality, student-centered instruction that transforms complex chemical concepts into engaging, accessible, and practical learning experiences. This role is essential in building students’ scientific literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through inquiry-based and hands-on approaches. The ideal candidate will possess strong subject mastery, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and intellectually stimulating learning environment. Recent graduates with teaching practice, internship, or NYSC experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities: 

- Design and deliver standards-aligned, interactive chemistry lessons that promote conceptual understanding and scientific inquiry. 

- Plan and conduct safe, effective laboratory and practical sessions to reinforce theoretical principles and develop experimental skills. 

- Develop and maintain comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools tailored to diverse learning needs. 

- Monitor and evaluate student progress using formative and summative assessments, providing timely, constructive feedback. 

- Foster a positive, equitable, and respectful classroom culture that supports academic growth and student well-being. 

- Collaborate with teaching teams, participate in professional development, and contribute to school-wide academic initiatives.

Requirements: 

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemistry Education, or a Science-related field. 

- 0–2 years of teaching experience, including internship, teaching practice, or NYSC. 

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. 

- Demonstrated passion for teaching and a commitment to student success and holistic development.
