Job Brief
As COO, you will lead the daily operations of Amana, ensuring our site runs smoothly, our events are outstanding, and our business continues to grow. You’ll make sure every guest feels cared for while putting in place the systems and structures that will help Amana grow into a full membership-based club.
Reporting directly to the Founder, you will work closely with her to shape the future of Amana Retreats.
The ideal candidate is a woman who combines vision with practicality—someone who can build while doing. You are passionate about creating extraordinary experiences and communities for women, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are excited to be a founding leader in shaping Amana’s journey.
Operational Leadership
Oversee the day-to-day running of Amana’s site, ensuring seamless operations and an excellent guest experience.
Build and improve systems, processes, and policies to support growth.
Manage budgets, financial planning, and operational targets.
Events & Experiences
Lead the planning and execution of all events, including retreats, workshops, and networking sessions.
Ensure events reflect Amana’s values of community, exclusivity, and excellence.
Manage relationships with vendors, facilitators, and partners.
Community & Membership
Create a welcoming, supportive environment for all women attending Amana events.
Prepare the foundation for Amana’s transition into a membership-based model by 2027, including systems for onboarding and retention.
Serve as a brand ambassador, representing Amana’s values in every interaction.
Growth & Strategy
Drive business growth through operational efficiency, revenue opportunities, and partnerships.
Support fundraising, sponsorships, and collaborations.
Provide insights and recommendations to the Founder on scaling the business.
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, lead, and mentor staff and volunteers.
Build a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and innovation.
Balance hands-on involvement with strategic leadership.
Strong background in hospitality, events management, or luxury lifestyle operations.
Proven experience managing day-to-day operations in a hospitality, wellness, or community-focused business.
Skilled in designing and delivering large-scale events.
Business acumen with confidence in financial planning and growth strategies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset: adaptable, hardworking, and eager to grow with a startup.
Calm and resourceful under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills.
Hands-on, proactive, and willing to get involved at every level.
Passionate about women’s spaces, wellness, and community-building.
