Here at the city of Sydney, no two nights are the same. As a Nightshift Cleansing Crew Operator, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills with full training across a wide range of cleansing specialised equipment, from footpath sweepers and roadway sweepers to footway scrubbers. Ensuring our streets, spaces, and precincts are looking their best by morning.
If you enjoy hands on work, operating modern equipment, and having real impact behind the scenes, this is your chance to join a supportive team that keeps the city moving.
We are seeking self-motivated, dedicated people who take pride in their work and able to complete physically demanding tasks.
To work in the team, you must:
• Drive and operate a variety of plant equipment including street sweepers.
• Hold current Heavy Vehicle (HR) driver’s licence.
• Be physically fit and able.
• Be available to work weekday shifts, some weekends, and public holidays.
• Have a proven clean driving record.
• Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed.
• Experience in waste removal preferred.
The successful candidate should have previous experience in the safe operation and maintenance of plant and Street Sweepers.

This role has the option of a rostered day off every 2 weeks, known as a 9-day fortnight.
The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration and medical assessment.
